Is it impolite to drool at a succulent scent associated with memories of the past? From a culinary standpoint, there is just nothing like the taste of a sweetly spiced filling in a delicately fluted, dough shell. Yum, potstickers!

Visited the Chinese Garden Restaurant in Longview, WA. Excellent, giant, hand-rolled potstickers. The sizzling lemon chicken was quite good, too. While it's out of the way (for a Renton resident), the next time that I pass by Longview, I'll be stopping in for a snack.

Btw, the potstickers take about 20 minutes to make. So, an advance call (if you want a to-go order) is a good idea. They are located at 1071 15th Ave in Longview, and the phone number is 360.423.1510.

If you are driving up for a visit (from the South), Longview is a quick detour off the 5 fwy. (Mapquest for exact directions.) When the turn off for Longview approaches, you'll still be about 2.5 - 3 hours from my home. Might be a good place to stop for a snack. :)
